Valle di OcreValle and Cavalletto are the last two villages on the way to Aquila which constitute the "scattered" commune of Ocre. They are of ancient origin as it appears from documents dated beginning of the 14th century. Antinori refers to documents in which the church of Cavalletto is mentioned in the list of the churches of the valley. However, in a Holy Visit of 1513 the village is mentioned as "Villa Cavallitti di Ocre".
Outside the small village of Valle there is the parish church of Saint Peter Apostle dating back to the 14th century but modified throughout the following centuries. On the lunette of the left lateral portal (13th century) there is a 16th century fresco recently restored with a Mary with Child between Saint Peter and Saint John the Baptist. The latin crossed inside shows a triumphal arch apse functioning as vestry. In a niche in the left transept there is a restored 16th century fresco with Mary of Loreto.
The church of San Rocco is found in the Villa di Cavalletto and is documented from the 16th century as Siant Mary of Piety, previously with such names as "of Charity" or "of Spasm". The façade, placed among other buildings has an even appearance and presents an 18th century portal. Inside there are only two 18th century paintings which both represent the Deposition of Christ: the painting on the altar is dated 1757 whereas the other one is presently being restored.
